Distance from negative family interactions by going minimal or no contact.
Stop trying to win the favor of abusive and uncaring family members or friends.
Anyone who engages in this inappropriate behavior has personality problems, especially a parent who did not love their child.
When you can tell your story and it doesn’t make you cry. That’s when you know you’ve healed.
A child who has been abused or traumatized, the adult survivor experience feelings of low self-worth or poor self-confidence.
What hurts you today makes you stronger tomorrow.
Speak up, let others know when they hurt / angered you.
Otherwise you’re giving permission for them to continue to treat you the same way in future.

Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life, tip toe if you must but take the step.

Leave & thanks for all difficult people in your life, they show you exactly who you do not want to be.
